love, hope & art 5.0

Love, Hope & Art 5.0 is an artistic celebration organized by the Anacostia Business Improvement District, the Love, Hope, and Art Gallery in collaboration with the DMV League of Artists.

The exhibition honors the rich tapestry of American culture through a showing of paintings, drawings, and photographs created by artists who represent the cultural diversity of our nation. The bold colors, heavy textures, loose movement, and subject matter in this exhibit visualize the woven ethnicities that create the fabric of America.

Love, Hope & Art 5.0  is curated by Luis Del Valle, and is a hopeful reflection of enduring trials for equality and justice. Del Valle as a public artist who focuses on building, maintaining and supporting communities through the arts. He believes that artistic development is a critical element in community development; the arts facilitate improvement in quality of life by providing tools to modify behaviors through the channeling of self-expression into productive work. They also inspire and motivate individuals, creating friendly competition grounded in positive behaviors. It is this vision of a vibrant, family-friendly community that is love, hope, and art.

Artists may submit up to 5 images of original art work for consideration to be juried.

Love Hope & Art Gallery will retain 30% commission on sales.
